RECIPE REVENUE

MORE PROFIT MORE FLAVOUR

When I owned a health cafe, I wanted to be an example of how to serve high quality ingredients while still being profitable. I struggled to grow due to a sales price ceiling for my menu & ability to brand. I was using locally sourced, organic flour for $8 per kg & next door was using convenient flour for 99c a kilo.

Very quickly I realised that the food industry isn't suffering from a lack of quality. Rather it's suffering from supply & demand constraints.

I built Recipe Revenue as a tool to give me clarity about my menu's performance. It didn't make sense to focus on promoting my offering if I didn't know if I was even making money.

Now days Recipe Revenue enables chefs to accurately understand what they need to focus on to improve their menu so they too can use better quality ingredients

In the past the value of food experience has been based on looks & service rather than the depth of flavour a chef can create. Recently we have seen that customers have a new perspective on food experiences.

They want meals that cannot be delivered or cooked at home. They want food experiences that only professional chefs can create and this unique turn of events puts chefs back into the driver's seat.

Chefs have the ability to move the food industry forward by creating experiences that inspire people to connect & fall in love with food again. By getting back to using the quality of ingredients to deliver flavour.

However this won’t come easy, with smaller and smaller margins we know that this journey will be a fine balance between flavour & profit. Therefore performance clarity will be a key component the key to success for chefs into the future. 3 common constraints chefs face as they navigate these challenging times is where I guide chefs to start when striving to improve their menus performance.

Recipe Revenue has also served my professional growth.

I love building businesses & leveraging tech to improve performance has been a corner stone to my career. Recipe Revenue is an example of this I used it to learn:

  • Full stack web development
  • How to scale a SAAS business model
  • Brand positioning

Recipe Revenue is a key asset in my portfolio as I strive to improve the quality of food we consume. Focusing on leveraging tech to make supply chains more transparent & easier to source quality ingredients that support our environment.
